Two BiblesHome

Note: The following study is supported solely by the Bible. Do not proceed any further if you do not agree with the above rule.

Of all of the "bibles" on the market today there are really only two bibles and all the bibles you see today are based on one of these two bibles. One of these bibles comes from Antioch in Syria. The other comes from Alexandria in Egypt. This study will investigate what God thinks of each of these places. Based on the logic of Matthew 7:17 we determine which of these places God would have us get our bible from.

Matthew 7
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

Note: God often uses something we call the law of first mention. That is, the first time we see something mentioned in Scripture gives us a picture of how God feels about it.

Egypt

Genesis 12
[10] And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. [11] And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: [12] Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.

Here we see the first mention of Egypt in the Bible. What does God say about it? He says that it is a place where they will kill a husband and keep his wife for themselves.

Genesis 37
[28] Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.
[36] And the Midianites sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

Joseph is sold into Egypt, into slavery.

Exodus 1
[11] Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

The Egyptians made slaves of all of the Hebrews.

Exodus 1
[15] And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:
[16] And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

The first abortion clinic is in Egypt.

Exodus 20
[1] And God spake all these words, saying, [2] I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

God calls Egypt a house of bondage.

Jeremiah 11
[1] The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
[4] Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:

God calls Egypt an iron furnace.

Deuteronomy 17
[15] Thou shalt in any wise set him king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which is not thy brother. [16] But he shall not multiply horses to himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt, to the end that he should multiply horses: forasmuch as the LORD hath said unto you, Ye shall henceforth return no more that way.

God's instructions for a king include not going to Egypt for horses. Egypt is so bad that God doesn't even want you to go there to get a horse. Why would you then go there to get a bible?

Revelation 11
[8] And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

God insults Jerusalem by comparing it to Egypt and Sodom.

Alexandria

Acts 6
[9] Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

The first mention of Alexandria is when referring to those who brought about the stoning of Steven.

Acts 18
[24] And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
[25] This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.

Apollos was lost, "knowing only the baptism of John", due to his bad Alexandrian doctrine. Aquila and Priscilla set him straight and led him to Jesus Christ (see Acts 18:28).

Acts 27
[6] And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy; and he put us therein.
[11] And after three months we departed in a ship of Alexandria, which had wintered in the isle, whose sign was Castor and Pollux.

Satan sends ships (taxis) from his city (Alexandria) to take Paul to Rome to cut his head off.

Syria

Genesis 25
[19] And these are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:
[20] And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan-aram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

The first mention of Syria is in a type of Bride for Jesus Christ, which comes from Syria.

Antioch

Acts 6
[3] Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
[4] But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
[5] And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

The first mention of Antioch is when the first deacons are chosen.

Acts 11
[26] And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

They were first called Christians at Antioch. Do you call yourself a Christian?

The Authorized Version King James Bible is what God wants you to have, it came from Antioch. All others come from Alexandria and are good for lining bird cages.
