I was excited to get some more Master 7 matches in this year and I saw that my friend Brian from Texas was signed up. We were the only two heavyweights in the master 7 division.
It was a hard fought match for both of us. Brian almost passed as I went to turtle with time running low.

Three other men signed up for the absolute division. I won my semifinal by points.
Brian and I had another battle for the absolute final. I secured a narrow victory by referee’s decision.
Brian and I have now fought each other a total of 14 times since I received my black belt in 2021! He has the lead with eight victories to my six.
